Women of Color Writer's Workshop
Going into its 11th year, the Women of Color Writer's Workshop offers a safe, creatively stimulating environment where women cultivate the skills needed to develop the craft of writing. In each workshop, a series of exercises are used to inspire writing where ideas, thoughts, and feelings flow easily in all genres.
The Workshop uses the renowned Amherst Writers as Artists (AWA) Method to inspire the highest levels of creativity. Prioritizing positive reinforcement and feedback builds upon what is working in the writing and encourages the development of each writer's individual voice and style. Women encourage and offer support to one another. Manuscript review allows for in depth analysis and review of the writing. WOC is a certified affiliated writing workshop of AWA.
